This is no frills, but why are you staying in your room at the Outer Banks anyway? Clean, very comfortable, safe and right near everything. We have actually booked another stay in mid July. "My friend and I were very skeptical to rent since it was a motel but we are so glad we have this place a chance. It’s been remodeled and very cute. We stayed in room 18. We was worried due to previous comments so soon as we got there we tore back sheets, looked under appliances and etc but we found zero bugs. Room 18 seemed to be the best room bc it had ocean views. Beach access was just across the street. They don’t have ice machine but hardware store beside of hotel sells ice. Only bad thing I can say about the place is the parking. It’s very tight!!!! We looked at several places to stay and this was by far the cheapest and worth every penny."

"I really like the check-in/out procedure, it was fast and easy! However, their check-in time is 3pm and we waited over an hour before our room was actually ready due to the Covid-19 cleaning procedures. They did apologize and offer a discount. The room was extremely clean, recently updated, cozy and included amenities we enjoyed. The parking is VERY tight! We were glad we didn't drive our truck! The location was convenient with easy access to the beach. We will definitely stay there again."

"I am so glad to report that the See Sea is back!!! Growing up in the late 60's-70's, the highlight of the summer for me and my sibs was spending a week in OBX at the See Sea Motel. With such beloved childhood memories rooted there, it was sad to witness it fall into disrepair/neglect over the years/decades. The recent renovations compelled me to spend a weekend there for old times sake. It was SO worth it! I love the retro vibe as it harkens back to my childhood vacations at my beloved See Sea. <3 My room was impeccably clean. Staff was excellent and friendly. Thank you for bringing this jewel of OBX back to life!!!!"

"The rooms were decorated so nice and the room was super clean!!!! The location was perfect you are walking distance from the beach, shops, and restaurants. The pool was very nice and not crowded at all. The check in process was so simple and easy they email you the room number and your code and tell you what time check in is. We were very satisfied with our stay and so were the kids. The only flaw was the parking was extremely tight and it would’ve been nice if the parking spots were numbered according to the room that way if people with one room have multiple cars they don’t park in a spot to someone else room. But overall loved our vacation would definitely stay again and would recommend this motel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in nags head."

"I never write reviews, but I was so surprised with this cute little room. The parking is tight, but each room has one parking spot right in front of the room. That is convenient. There is also keyless entry, and you get a code so you don't have to check in or check out. Your code works during your stay and then expires. All the rooms were recently renovated, and they are adorable with modern beach-colors. Really nice bathroom, and a cute Keurig, microwave, and toaster oven. It has everything you need at an affordable price - if you call and book your room, you can dodge all the fees online through third party sites. I saved $20 by calling. The pool is very nice and close to all the rooms. Plus, the beach access is a quick walk across the street. The beach is beautiful in Kill Devil Hills. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will book again next time I'm in the area."

"This is a wonderful motel. We stayed here in July 2019. It's clean, stylish, and convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful. But, DO NOT PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE THROUGH THEIR VENDOR, RED SKY. The motel manager was gracious and reasonable enough to refund my reservation (Covid travel ban reasons, this year) when the scam artist travel agency would not. The only thing this motel should do differently is read the Red Sky Google reviews and cut ties with them. Otherwise, this motel can't be beat."
